I have played guitar for 22 years, but never owned an electric guitar until recently. I bought this for my kids and myself as an introduction to Electric guitar.
The book is great and the DVD and CD are well produced.
I think the lessons get a little too deep too quickly for young beginners as one of the early lessons introduces you to every major chord in the first position.
Chords like F and A are challenging for new fingers. I prefer a method that introduces simpler chords like C, D, G and works into the harder to play chords once the learner has a few songs with the simpler chords under their belt.
I’m loving the book but think I’ll be buying a book with a different approach for the kids.
