i know that many people have live performance clips on their computers. acousticvids.com would love to showcase those and make them available for everyone in the singer-songwriter community to enjoy!

also, these do not only have to be by artists already showcased on this website - if you have a favorite singer-songwriter that you want the world to know about, send those clips our way, as well! we are ALL ABOUT spreading the love, that’s the whole point of the site!

when you submit a clip to acousticvids, you will be credited on the clip’s main page and with a text panel in the video as well. you can choose how you would like your credit to read - it could be your full name, first name and city, nickname, etc. (for example, miss stephanie orefice could opt for “clip courtesy of stephanie orefice”, “clip courtesy of stephanie from seattle”, or “clip courtesy of stepho4prezo” and miss mei-ling morrison beals might opt for “clip courtesy of mei-ling morrison beals”, “clip courtesy of mei-ling from seattle” or “clip courtesy of meidashling”)

of course, if you’re shy and would rather not be credited, that’s perfectly ok, too!

WAYS TO SUBMIT CLIPS:

1) upload them to a service such as yousendit, megaupload or sendspace and send the link to: submit@acousticvids.comThis email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .

2) send the link ( submit@acousticvids.comThis email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it ) of where it’s already uploaded to a file streaming service such as you tube or google videos. this is not the preferred way, as the clips i can grab from there are not as high-quality as when the original is sent, but we will still certainly take them! :)

3) if your connection is slow enough to make sending or uploading clips impossible or even just inconvenient, you can burn them to a disc and mail the disc to:

INFORMATION TO INCLUDE:

please include the following information for each clip of your submission:

1) artist’s name
2) song title
3) date of performance
4) venue

if you can’t remember or locate a any of those pieces of information, that’s ok, but please try! it serves the artists best when the records of their performance are preserved for posterity as accurately as possible.

also, don’t forget to let me know how you’d like to be credited.

A FINAL NOTE:

lastly, please make sure that the clips that you submit are from artists and venues that are taper- and trader-friendly.
